Helping caterers grow without the chaos

Cress gives event caterers one source of truth for every event, from the first quote to the kitchen list and the invoice. I helped this Dutch software company speak the language of busy caterers, and get found by them.

The challenge

Caterers don’t buy software. They buy calm on a Saturday night with three events running at once. Cress had built exactly that, but in a market that runs on spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups, “catering software” alone doesn’t make anyone switch.

What we did

We translated features into moments caterers recognise, like the last-minute change in guest count that now updates the quote, the kitchen list and the staff planning in one go. That story went into the website, search and online advertising, aimed at caterers who are ready to grow.

Cress’s own product views on cressonline.com, from choosing a template to the run sheet (an example event with fictitious data, as Cress labels it), and a display ad built from the 2025 site’s own copy.

The results

A clear promise, growth without chaos, and a search and advertising foundation that reaches caterers at the moment they start looking for a better way to run their events.
